I.T. System Administrator

Job Locations US-CA-San Diego



As a member of ZOLL Data IT Team, the IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the goldenHour, a ZOLL Company technology infrastructure including but not limited to: servers (physical/virtual), end-user systems and peripherals, AV conference room technologies, telephony, business applications and basic network connectivity.



Essential Job Duties:

  • New employee setup: create accounts, order hardware, configure and deploy laptop + peripherals
  • Perform troubleshooting of the telephony system to isolate, diagnose and resolve common problems.
  • Install, configure and upgrade:  network printing, directory structures, access rights, security groups, etc.
  • Troubleshoot end-user issues with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite and other business applications
  • Assist with management of a variety of corporate servers, including but not limited to: Active Directory Domain Controllers, file and print servers, database and web servers.
  • Participate in security audits and manage ZOLL’s back office systems in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Engage with 3rd party technology service providers and instruct, monitor and report on activities as necessary
  • Position will offer career-benefitting exposure to a wide range of IT support activities.

  • College degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • A+, MCP, MCSE or similar certifications is a plus



  • 3+ years of Systems Administration experience on Microsoft Windows platform
  • 3+ years experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Server platform
  • 3+ years experience with other Microsoft products: Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, SharePoint, O365, etc.

  • General business writing skills
  • Understanding of Windows Deployment Services
  • Experience with enterprise drive encryption solutions, Microsoft BitLocker preferred
  • Knowledge of enterprise anti-malware and endpoint security solutions
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts; familiarity with Cisco, Brocade and PAN platforms is a plus
  • Knowledge of Window PowerShell scripts
  • Knowledge of VMWare ESX Server management and familiarity with VMWare Infrastructure tools
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.)
  • Experience supporting a mixed PC/MAC environment
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA
  • The following skills are a plus:  iSCSI, SAN, Exagrid, Veem, AWS, VDI, Jira
